I’m back from another trip to Lourdes where I’m working on a long-term, personal project, to tie in with my MA in Anthropology of Travel, Tourism, and Pilgrimage at SOAS. I couldn’t do it without my wonderful friend and assistant Marie-Cecile Embleton, who is a language whizz and fluent in French, Italian and Spanish. Essential for conversing with the pilgrims! It’s a challenging subject, but we are making progress and now have a residency at the Marie Saint-Frai. More news soon, but here are a couple of images from the latest trip.
