I’m spending spare days over the summer working on a project about the Northern line. The idea is to take a portrait at each station, exploring the area and seeing who I bump into. Having lived in London for years, it’s made me realise that I rarely venture past Zone 2 on the tube. There are some beautiful parts of London that I’ve never been to and the Northern line takes you from the meadows of Totteridge & Whetstone, through the centre of London and down to the mosques and sports grounds of Morden. The final project will consist of 30 portraits, each one taken at a different stop on the Northern line.
